I have been indexing for many years and specialise in academic books and journals. Three of my indexes have been shortlisted for the prestigious Wheatley Medal for indexing. My specialist subjects are archaeology, art history, architectural history and local history.

I have a Cambridge honours degree in archaeology and art history and a working knowledge of French, Italian, German and Latin and some Ancient Greek.

I am based in Chichester in West Sussex and have extensive experience in indexing the archaeology, architecture and history of Sussex. I also have good knowledge of London, Cambridgeshire, Surrey and Hampshire.

I am active in indexing training as a tutor and workshop leader for the Society of Indexers. In 2009 I was presented by the Society of Indexers with the Carey Award for outstanding services to indexing, in recognition of my work as a teacher and trainer.
